• Event is limited to 250 Cars.

Qualifying

We will be run according to ABC schedule. Each round everyone will be sorted based on time and given points.

Electric Truggy and Buggy will be started using staggered called start system for qualifying heats.

Nitro will be using uncalled open loop start system for qualifying heats.

Finals

12 Car Finals

Top 10 from Qualifying with go straight to A Main with 2 people bumping up for each lower Main.

Special Mains

Junior Nitro Main: This is run on the Saturday night so everyone that is at the age of 16 or under on the day can run in this race. We will have a special trophy for this one! Max 12 Drivers.

Eligibility & Information

All drivers must be a current financial member of an NZRCA affiliated club and hold a current NZRCA license. International drivers we will sort these for you upon entry.

Prizegiving

Prizegiving will be held at the end of Sundays racing.

Lap Timing

LiveTime RC software and an AMB RC4 decoder will be used (Clone transponders may not work).

Competitors are to supply their own transponders and are responsible for ensuring the details are supplied correctly and that their transponder is in working condition.

We will not be responsible for any issues with driver’s personal transponders.

Marshaling

You must marshal the race directly after yours no exceptions.

Your best time will be taken if failure to do so no questions asked. You must marshal on your number and be there 30 seconds before the start of the race. If you want to race and be marshaled, you must have the respect to marshal. You have all read this here; Any questions or special exemptions about this please contact a committee member before the event.

Track Maintenance

Depending on weather and track condition, we may require to water the track or carry out track maintenance before after or between rounds. The track will also be closed at the conclusion of each day for maintenance.

Pits

We encourage you to bring your own chairs, tables and/or shelter to the event. If you are flying in for this event shelter, table, chair and power will be provided. 240v/50Hz NZ/Aus Style Plug – Type I Outlet used.

There is water and mains power (limited to RC use only) onsite for racers to use. We also have a full washing station with compressor and water. We will ask that you use this facility rather than running your own compressor so s to minimise any affects on the power network.

There are also ladies and men’s toilets onsite for your convenience.

We also request that you please take any rubbish with you when you leave the track.

Accommodation

Airport info: Auckland International Airport, Counties RC Track is approx 30 Mins South of airport. Plenty of car rental places at airport.

Club History

We have been racing RC for 40 Years at the Counties RC Car Club. Predominantly 10th from 1983 to 2015 and have done 8th alongside our 10th from 2015. This will be our first ever meeting like this in NZ and first international meeting of this scale. The track will have a full fresh layout done over December/January in preparation for this event. The city of Auckland has a population of 1.6 million people with the Pukekohe area being home to 27,000 people.
