Classes
Pro Nitro Buggy – 1 Hour A-main, 20 Min Lower Finals
Sportsman Nitro Buggy – 45 min A-main, 20 Min Lower Finals
E Buggy – 10 Min Finals
E Truggy – 7 Min Finals
Rules for Classes. This year anyone can enter either class. If you want to run Sportsman or Pro Nitro Buggy it’s your choice. E Buggy and E Truggy is all in.
Qualifying
E Buggy / E Truggy – We will have three rounds of qualifying at 7 minutes duration plus last lap.
A staggered called start system will be used for qualifying heats and your three best rounds based on points will count to your qualifying position.
Nitro Buggy – We will have three rounds of qualifying at 7 minutes duration plus last lap. An uncalled start system will be used for qualifying heats and your two best rounds based on points will count to your qualifying position.
Finals
E Buggy / E Truggy classes – We will have three Rounds of finals. Final heats will be run using a standing grid start. Your grid position will be the same for all final heats as the result of your qualifying position. Your two best final results using finishing position points will determine your overall result. In the event of a tie, your qualifying results will be used to break the tie.
Nitro Classes – Top 4 Drivers after Nitro qualifying get an automatic direct qualification into the A-main on Sunday ( No Semi bump needed ) Everyone else goes into the lower mains. ( Top 4 will get a 15 min pre final open practice on Sunday morning Pro/Sportsman combined ) Top 3 out of each final will Bump to the next.
12 Car Finals
Special Mains
40+ Nitro Main: Pretty simple you need to be over 40 and have not made either the Pro or Sportsman A Final. 12 Drivers in the race. Ranking will be based on fastest qualifying race.
40+ Electric Main: Pretty simple you need to be over 40 and have not made either the Pro or Sportsman A Final. 12 Drivers in the race. Ranking will be based on fastest qualifying race.
Junior Nitro Main: This is run on the Saturday night so everyone that is at the age of 16 or under on the day can run in this race. We will have a special trophy for this one! Max 12 Drivers.
Eligibility & Information
All drivers must be a current financial member of an NZRCA affiliated club and hold a current NZRCA license.

E Buggy and E Truggy $ 40.00 each
Prizegiving
Prizegiving will be held at the end of Sundays racing.
Lap Timing
Counties will be using LiveTime RC software and an AMB RC4 decoder (Clone transponders may not work).
Competitors are to supply their own transponders and are responsible for ensuring the details are supplied correctly and that their transponder is in working condition.
We will not be responsible for any issues with driver’s personal transponders.
Please watch the video at this link to see how you should mount your transponder to minimise the chance of laps being not counted.
Marshaling
You must marshal the race directly after yours no exceptions, A Nitro Final will be Sportsman and Pro marshalling each other’s, ‘Visa Versa’. Everything else will be directly after the race.
Your best time will be taken if failure to do so no questions asked. You must marshal on your number and be there 30 seconds before the start of the race. If you want to race and be marshaled, you must have the respect to marshal. You have all read this here; Any questions or special exemptions about this please contact a committee member before the event.
Track Maintenance
Depending on weather and track condition, we may require to water the track or carry out track maintenance before after or between rounds. The track will also be closed at the conclusion of each day for maintenance.
Pits
We encourage you to bring your own chairs, tables and/or shelter to the event. If you are from out of town please contact us and we will do the very best to arrange something for you.

There is water and mains power (limited to RC use only) onsite for racers to use. There are also ladies and men’s toilets onsite for your convenience.
We also request that you please take any rubbish with you when you leave the track.
